The Old Town Mill, commissioned
1650 by Governor Winthrop, New London,
CT. According to recearcher Micelle FitzGerald, John Elderkin built the original mill in 1651, and Winthrop also requested the assistance to build the mill from Rev John Lathrop, whose many descendants became millers, Postcard images above and below contributed by Beth

Taylor; Mr. Blyndman; Smauel Lo(throup); John Lewis; William Morton; that the terms of Pequott shall make & (take) charge of making all the envy(?) worke belonging to the mill .
