To all People to whom these Present shall come, Greeting
Know ye, That We Rosewell
Saltonstall, Gilbert Saltonstall, Dudley
Saltonstall, Catharine Richards, Thomas & Ann
Mumford, Daniel and Sarah Buck and Martha Manswaring
for divers good causes and
considerations moving especially for
the creation of L5:14.2 recd from full satisfaction of
Saltonstall Junr attorney to the aforementioned—
remised, released, and forever
quit-claimed, and by these Presents
for us and our Heirs, do fully, clearly, and
absolutely remise, release, and forever quite-claim unto Lot
Larkham of Voluntown our full and peaceable Possession
and Seisin and to him & his Heirs and Assigns forever, all
such Right, Estates Title, Interest, and Demand whatsoever
as we the said aforementioned persons have brought to have in
or to on seventh part of all the land lying in said
Voluntown and laid out to Major Wait Winthrop and which we
inherit
from our honored mother Rebeca Saltonstall who
was daughter to John and Ann Winthrop of Sd New London howsoever
the same may be better (illegible) bounded
reference being “had to” the records of sd Voluntown.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD
unto the said Lot Larkham
only Use and Behoof of the said
Larkham his Heirs and Assigns
forever; so that neither we the said abovenamed quit
claimes
nor our Heirs, or any other Person
or Persons, for us nor in
their Names, nor in the Name, Right or Stead of any of
them, shall or will by any Way or Means hereafter, have, claim,
challenge or demand, any Estate, Right, Title, or
Interest, of, in, or to the Premises, or any Part thereof; but
from all and every Action, Right, Estate, Title, Interest, and
Demand, of, in, or to the Premises, or any Part hereof, they
and every one of them shall be utterly excluded and barred
forever by these Presents.
In Witness whereof , we have
hereunto for our Hand and Seal the
23rd Day of August Anno Domini, 1794 the words
“had to” were intertined before delivery.
