NOTE:    I've "rescued" an old family bible belonging to the MORGAN and AVERY Family of Connecticut.  Based on limited research I was able to gather a considerable amount of information regarding this family and have included that information below along with details of the information included in the bible.  Shelley Cardiel






Marriages:

.    Jasper MORGAN and Clarissa HOLDRIDGE, April 4th 1818

Jasper MORGAN b. 1784 in Groton, CT to parents John MORGAN (b. 1735 in
Groton, CT) and Dorothy AVERY (b. 1736 in Groton, CT).  Jasper was the last
of 8 children born to this couple including, John; Hannah; David; Stephen;
Abigail; Amos; and Experience MORGAN all born in Groton, CT between 1761 and
1778.  Jasper married Clarissa HOLDRIDGE (b. about 1784) and they had a son
Robert Avery MORGAN born in Groton, CT.

John Sands AVERY b. 19 Aug 1782 in Groton, CT to parents John AVERY (b. 24
Jan 1737/38 in Groton, CT) and Sarah BELTON (b. 8 Jun 1743 in Groton, CT).
John's first marriage in April of 1812 was to Bethiah WILLIAMS (b. 11 Nov
1787 in Ledyard, CT) with whom he had one child, Bethiah Williams AVERY b.
28 May 1817 in Groton, CT.  John's second marriage on 29 Aug 1819 was to
Sarah "Sally" SMITH b. 28 Aug 1779 in Poquonock Bridge, CT to parents Oliver
SMITH (b. 27 Apr 1739 in Poquonock Bridge, CT) and Mary DENISON (b. in
Stonington, CT).  They had at least two children including Sarah Sands AVERY
b. 18 Aug 1820 in Groton, CT.

.    Robert A. MORGAN and Sarah Sands AVERY, June 7th 1842

Married in Groton, CT, the couple had 5 children including, John Sands;
Jasper; Clara Augusta; Ella; and Jenny Avery MORGAN all born in Groton, CT
between 1843 and 1860.

Susan GOODWIN b. 19 Apr 1850 in MA to parents Lewis Benjamin GOODWIN (b.
1818) and Abby Ann WHITING, married John Sands MORGAN on 25 May 1843 in
Groton, CT.  The couple had two children their first being Clara LeBaron
MORGAN b. about 1876 in CT. Susan died in 1921.
