ANDERSON, John, a transient person, now a resident of Danbury, will dated Feb. 8, 1739/40, probated Mch. 6, 1739/40, mentioned his mother Margaret Henderson, and sister Elizabeth Anderson, living in the Parish of Dimfarm by Lime in ye Shier of Fiefe in North Britton, legacies to Deacon Elnathan Mead of Horseneck, Matthew Benedict of Danbury, John Wilks of Danbury, land in Danbury and Horseneck to the support of a Presbyterian School. Executors Deacon Elnathan Mead, Thomas Benedict, and Matthew Benedict. Witnesses Benjamin Starr, Abraham Hayes, and John Wood. Deacon Elnathan Mead refused to qualify, page 67. Inventory taken by Isreal White, Comfort Starr and Abraham Hayes, and filed Feb. 3, 1741/2, page 68.
BANKS, Thomas, late of Fairfield, will dated Apl. 18, 1747, probated May 11, 1747, mentioned his wife Sarah, and Children Hester, Ruth, Sarah, a minor, Seth, and Thaddeus, a minor. Executors his wife Sarah, and brothers, Benjamin and Gershom. Witnesses John Goodsell, Joseph Rowland, and Gershom Thorp, page 404. Inventory taken May 18, 1747, by John Bradley and David Down, and filed Apl. 5, 1748, page 466.
