OLMSTEAD, Joseph, late of Norwalk, will dated Jan. 27, 1747/8, probated Feb. 7, 1748/9, mentioned his wife Mehetable, and children Gardner, Joseph, of Farmington, Phebe wife of John Filliand, and grandchild Sarah Olmstead, a daughter if John Olmstead. Executors his son Gardner and son in law John Filleard. Witnesses Samuel Fitch, Samuel Cluckston and Elnathan Hanford, page 18. Inventory taken Jan. 27, 1748/9, by Andrew Mills and Nathan Burrwell, and filed Apl. 4, 1749, page 20.
OSBURN, Samuel, late of Fairfield, will dated Aug. 2, 1751, probated Apl. 7, 1752, mentioned his wife Hannah, and children Joseph, Jeremiah, Isabel, Mary, Ellin, Martha, Ann, Sarah, Daniel, Thaddeus, and Eunice. Executors his sons Daniel and Thaddeus. Witnesses Noah Hobart, John Osburn and Howes Osburn, page 255. Inventory taken June 8, 1752, by John Osburn and Lothrop Lewis, and filed June 8, 1752, page 347. Additional inventory on page 356. Nov. 7, 1751, account filed, and estate ordered distributed to his widow and children according to his will, by Samuel sherwood, Captain Samuel burr, and Samuel Rowland, all of Fairfield, page 320. Oct 10. 1753, former distribution set aside, and a new distribution ordered among his widow and children according to his will, except the part set out to his widow. John Read, Stephen Burr and Joseph Sanford, all of Fairfield, were appointed distributors, page 495.
