Feb. 20, 1716/7, Josiah, a son of decedent, made choice of his grandfather, Samuel Pon of Gilford, to be his guardian: the court appointed said Samuel Pon guardian of Naomie and Thankful, other children of decedent: and on Aug. 23, 1716, the court appointed Ebeneazer Weed guardian of Nathaniel, another son of decedent, page 51a. Oct 27, 1718, said Samuel Pon of Gilford, now deceased, and Captain Abraham Fowler of Gilford appointed guardian of Thankful Pon, page 51a. May 11, 1721, Naomy and Thankful children of deceased made choice of their uncle Joseph Lee of Gilford to be their guardian, page 120.

POTTER, John, late of Stamford, commander of the Brigatine Royal Stephen, now at another New York Harbor, will dated Apl. 15, 1705, probated Sept. 9, 1709, all property at Stamford to his daughter Sarah Potter, if she attains the age of 21 yrs, or marries, if not then to his brothers Indigo Potter and Robert Potter.
