MARSHALL, John, (continued from page 195), Daniel, Hannah and Samuel, son in law Thomas Merritt of Rye, My wife Elizabeth to have what is due from the estate of Samuel Lyon of Greenwich Deceased owned land in Stamford and Greenwich. Executors sons John and Daniel. Witnesses William Rundle, Sr., Thomas Marshall and William Rundle. (Note: his first wife was probably a daughter of John Rockwell of Stamford, see Stamford Land Records, Volume A. page 191), pages 221 and 224.

Inventory taken May 14, 1712, by Samuel Peck, St., Daniel Smith, and Thomas Marshall, and filed June 4, 1712, page 224.


MARSHALL, Samuel, late of Greenwich, will dated Apl.;. 14, 1713, probated Apl. 25, 1713, mentioned his wife Mary, made provisions for an unborn child, if no child, then estate to go to Joseph Marshall, the eldest son of my brother Joseph Marshall, and to Daniel Marshall the eldest son of my brother Daniel Marshall, on attaining the age of 21 yrs, and in case either of them die, the next brother to inherit.

Inventory taken Oct. 31, 1713, by Samuel Peck, Sr., and Thomas Marshall, and filed Nov. 6, 1713, page 275a.


MARTIN, William, late of Woodbury, died July 4, 1715, and on Dec. 11, 1715, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Abigail Martin and son Joseph Martin, page 365 and 370.

Inventory taken Nov. 1, 1715, by Joseph Minor and John Curtiss, had a older will; also shop on the land of John Nicholas; also land that William Frederick's; also land adjoining Jonathan Atwood's land; and filed Dec. 7, 1715, page 322.

Dec. 7, 1715, Abigail Martin appointed guardian of her daughter Phebe, a daughter of decedent, page 322.

Nov. 20, 1715, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by Lieut. Joseph Minor and Ensign John Sherman to his widow and three sons and one daughter, page 344.

Dec. 7, 1715, the court appointed John Nicoles of Woodbury guardian of Caleb, a son of decedent, page 344.
