Page 161 Transcribed by Geri Ryerson K, CURTISS, Sarah, late of Stratford, new wife of Captain William Curtiss, will dated Oct. 21, 1697, probated Jan. 17, 1702, recited that testatrix according to the marriage contract has the power and authority to dispose of the estate left of her former husband as she pleased, mentioned her children John Goodrich, William Goodrich, David Goodrich, Ephraim Goodrich, Sarah Hollister, and Mary Butler, son in law Robert Wells, and grandchildren Abigail Fitch, Sarah Hollister, Sarah Goodrich, and Prudence Wells, No executor. Witnesses William Curtiss and Francis Hall, page 80. Oct. 21, 1697, codicil dated, legacy to Joshua Curtiss, and the Steer formerly given her son in law Wells to Rebecka Goodrich, page 80. Jan.17, 1702, letters of administration to John Goodrich, Ephraim Goodrich, and Abraham Kimberly, page 80.
CURTISS, William, Captain, late of Stratford, will dated Dec. 15, 1702, probated Dec. 31, 1702, all children married and given portions, mentioned his children Daniel, Ebeneazer, Zachariah, Josiah, who was devised land next to Samuel French, Sarah Wells, Elizabeth rose, and Joshua, legacy to Jonathan a son of Jonathan Curtiss. Executors his sons Daniel, Ebeneazer, Zachariah, and Josiah. witnesses Joseph Curtiss and John Beach. page 9. Inventory taken Jan. 3, 1702/3, page 11.
