Transcribed by Geri Ryerson K, BURR, Nathaniel, Jr., late of Fairfield, Jan. 7, 1700/1, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Susannah Burr, Sergeant Joseph Lockwood went on bond with his daughter the aforesaid widow, page 10a. Inventory taken Jan. 27, 1700/1, by Abraham Adams, Peter Burr, and Joseph Wakeman, had land at Round hill, at Sasce Neck, ten Acres in front of his father's long lot, mentioned his deed of gift, and land next to Abraham Adams, and filed Jan. 7, 1700/1, page 10. Apl. 12, 1703, the court appointed Sergeant Joseph Lockwood Guardian of Nathaniel, Sarah, and Annah, children of decedent, and Susannah Burr, widow of deceased, guardian of Ephraim the youngest son of decedent, page 10a. Nov. 6, 1702, account filed, and estate ordered distributed by Sergeant John Thompson and Sergeant Joseph Wakeman to his widow Susannah Burr, and children, Nathaniel, Sarah, Annah, and Ephraim, page 10a. Jan. 7, 1710, the court released Sergeant Joseph Lockwood from his guardianship and appointed as guardian for Nathaniel, Sarah, and Annah, their father in law Ensign Benjamin Rumsey, who had probably married the widow, page 10a. Aug. 7, 1712, Susannah Burr now deceased, and the Court appointed Major John Burr of Stratfield guardian of Ephrraim in her place, page 384. Mch. 2, 1714/15, Nathaniel made choice of John Silliman to be his guardian, page 370.
BURR, Nathaniel, late of Fairfield, will dated Feb. 22, 1711/12, probated Mch. 5, 1711/12, mentioned his wife Ann, and children, Nathaniel, now deceased, John, Daniel, have had their share, son in law John Wheeler, daughters Ester Sloss, Ann Allen, Rebecka Sherwood, Mary Laberie, and four grandchildren, the children of Nathaniel. Executors son in law Gideon Allen. witnesses Peter Burr and John burr, page 266.
