Inventory taken Apl. 8, 1690, by Samuel Sherman and Samuel Galpin, and filed Apl 4, 1690, page 5. JONES, Cornelius, late of Stamford, will dated June 2, 1690, probated Mch. 10, 1690/1, mentioned his children, Ebeneazer and Mary Hyat, who has had her portion, and granddaughter Ruth Hyat, ae. about 18 yrs. Overseers Lieut. Johnathan Bell, and Abraham Ambler. witnesses Abraham Ambler and Daniel Scofield, page 39. Inventory taken Oct. 31, 1690, by John Scofield and Abraham Ambler, and filed Mch. 10, 1690/1, page 39. JONES, Joseph, late of Stamford, died in 1690, and on Nov. 3, 1691, letters of administration on his estate granted to Abraham Ambler and Daniel Scofield, both of Stamford, page 53. Inventory taken Sept. 20, 1691, by Daniel Scofield and Elisha Holly, by his widow Rebecca Jones, mentioned his children Joseph, ae. about 9 yrs; Samuel, ae. about 6 yrs; Cornelius, ae. about 3 yrs; Mary, ae. about 13, years; and Hannah, ae. about 11 yrs, and filed Nov. 3, 1691, page 53. May 1, 1700, Abraham Ambler being now deceased, his surviving son Jehil Ambler, was appointed administrator in his place, page 53. Jan. 29, 1701/2, Samuel Jones, a son of decedent, made choice of Daniel Scofield Sr., to be his guardian, page 209. Account filed, and estate ordered distributed to his widow and children by Captain Jonathan Sellick and Lieut Waterbury, who were also to perfect the distribution of the estate of Cornelius Jones deceased, the father of descendant, page 39.
