BEERS, Joseph Jr., (Continued from page 83), Inventory, taken Apl. 30, 1698, by George Squire, Samuel Roberson, and William Hill, verified by his father James Beers, Sr., and filed May 2, 1695, page 124.

Nov. 24, 1699, Philip Lewis ordered to administer but refused, and Nathan Gold continued and settled the estate, page 124.

Account filed, and estate ordered distributed to his children Joseph, died before distribution, James died in 1697, estate distributed to his surviving children, page 124.

BEERS, Joseph, Late of Fairfield, Mch. 24, 1696/7, letters of administration on his estate granted to his widow Abigaile Beers and Ensign John Osburne, page 138.

Inventory taken Mch. 6, 1696/7, by Samuel Roberson and John Osburne, mentioned his widow Abegaile, sons and daughters, no names. Deceased had land given him by his father, filed Mch. 24, 1696/7, page 138.

Nov. 1, 1698, account filed by Joseph Dumbar and his wife (probably widow of deceased), administrators, and John Barlow was appointed administrator to make report of what legacies said Dunbar had paid out of the estate of James Beers, Sr., deceased of which estate said Joseph Beers, deceased was executor, and also place out the children of the deceased, sons and daughters, also the court appointed Ensign John Osburne to assist, and later Feb. 16, 1699, said Barlow refused to act, and said Osburne was made sole administrator, page 214.

Mch. 1, 1698/9, account filed, and bill of John Thomas of Woodbury against the estate was ordered to be paid one half by said Dunbar, page 214.

BEERS, Martha, Late of Fairfield, widow of James Beers, Sr., deceased, will dated Feb. 22, 1697/8, probated Mch. 27, 1698/9, mentioned her son John Darling, daughters Martha Bulkley, Deborah Hull and Elizabeth Darling. Witnesses John Thomson and Jonathan Tailer, page 164. Mch. 27, 1698/9, letters of administration on her estate granted to John Darling and Joseph Bulkley, page 165.
