of administration on his estate granted to his widow
Sarah Barlow and John Barlow, page 143. Inventory taken Oct. 3, 1698, by John Edwards, and Samuel
Roberson, and filed Dec. 1697, page 143. Agreement dated
Nov. 3, 1698, between his widow Sarah Barlow, and John
Bur, John Barlow, Samuel Barlow, Samuel Denton, Jeremiah
Fowler, and John Morehouse, by which the widow was to
have all the land she received from her father, also
the house and home lot that said Joseph Barlow bought
of Eleazer Smith of Fairfield. Witnesses Nathaniel Bur,
Jr., and Samuel Squire. Note. The said widow, a daughter
of William Reed, may have later married Zachariah Ferris
of Stratford, page 165. BARNUM, Thomas Sr., Late of Danbury, died Dec.
26, 1695, and Feb. 6, 1695/6, letters of administration
on his estate granted to his son Thomas Barnum and Thomas
Picket, both of Danbury, page 139. Inventory taken Jan. 3, 1695/6, by James Beebe, James
Picket and Josiah Star, mentioned his widow Sarah, formerly
from Stratford, estate owed Dr. John Butler and Mr. Reed,
the hatter at Fairfield, and filed Feb. 6, 1695/6, page
139. Mch. 10, 1695/6, account filed, and estate ordered distributed
to his widow Sarah Barnum, and children Five sons and
five daughters, no names, some minors, page 139. BASTARD, Joseph, Late of___, Nov. 24, 1697, letters
of administration on his estate granted to Nathan Gold
and John Thompson, page 180. Inventory taken Nov. 14, 1697, by Nathaniel Bur and Philip Lewis, mentioned two children, no names to be pleased out, and an Indian servant Jeffery, filed Nov. 24, 1697, page 180.
