BEERS, Mary, late of Fairfield, 1688, letters of administration on her estate granted to Samuel Ward and Nathan Adams of Fairfield, who were processed in their administration according to an award. dated Dec. 2, 1687, by John Burr, Sargeant Samuel Ward, and Robert Turney, page 254. BELL, Francis, Lieut., late of Stamford, will dated Mch. 24, 1689, probated Mch. 11, 1690, mentioned his children Jonathan, and Mary Hoit; grandchildren Jonathan Bell, Jr., Hannah Bell, now Bets, Rebecca Bell, when I have brought up and four sons of my daughter, Tutle, Viz; Jonathan Simon, William and Nathaniel. Executor his son Jonathan. Witnesses John Bishop, Abraham Ambler, and George Slawson, page 201. Inventory taken Jan 28, 1689/90, by Abraham Ambler, John Bates, and Samuel Hoit. Rebecca Bell having died before the will was probated, her portion was distributed to Abraham Bell, and to each of the children of Jonathan Bell, a son of Testator, page 302. BENEDICT, Thomas, Jr., late of Norwalk, died Nov. 20, 1688, and on Mch. 5, 1688/9, letters of administration on his estate were granted to his widow Mary Benedict, page 265. Inventory taken Feb. 22, 1688/9, by Thomas Benedict, Sr., Samuel Hayes, and Andrew Messinger, mentioned his widow Mary, and children, Mary ae. 22 yrs; Thomas, ae. 10 yrs; Hannah, ae. 12 yrs; Hester, ae. 9 yrs; Abigail, ae. 6 yrs; and Elizabeth, ae. 4 yrs, and filed Mch. 5, 1688/9, pages 264 and 265.' Nov. 5, 1689, estate ordered distributed to the aforesaid widow and children, page 268 and 302. BENNET, James, late of _____, Hannah Bennet of Fairfield, a daughter of deceased, acknowledged the receipt of her portion of her father's estate from her brother Thomas Bennet. Witnesses John Thomson and Samuel Squire, page 24. 1675, Sarah, a daughter of deceased and wife of John Osborn, acknowledged the receipt of her portion of her father's estate, and released Joseph Middlebrook, whom called father. Witnesses Thomas Wilson and Hannah Bennet, pages 40 and 48. Dec. 10, 1674, James Bennet, a son of deceased, acknowledged the receipt of his portion of his father's estate, and released his father Joseph Middlebrook, who held his share.
